The clown dropped down on one knee, took his girlfriend’s hand in his and proposed marriage. “You’re a sensible girl; won’t you marry me?”
His girlfriend smiled wistfully and answered, “I’m afraid not, dear Clown.”
The clown replied, “But why not, dearest?”
His girlfriend replied, “Because I am a sensible girl.”
