Who is this on the penny?
Sometimes, a teachable moment tends to backfire ...
A father, wanting to teach his son about Abraham Lincoln, pulled a penny out of his pocket and showed it to his son. “Son, do you know who this man is?”
With a smile, the boy replies, “Sure, Dad, everyone knows who that is!”
The father smiles with paternal pride and asks, “Good! Who is he, son?”
The boy replied, “He’s the guy that makes pennies.”
